Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want you to be satisfied with Formuley. This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work.

1. Free Trial

We offer a 14-day free trial of our Pro plan. No credit card is required to start the trial.

At the end of the trial:

  • If you subscribe to a paid plan, your subscription begins immediately
  • If you do not subscribe, your account is downgraded to read-only access
  • Your data is retained; you can upgrade at any time to regain full access

2. Subscription Cancellation

2.1 How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time:

When you cancel, you retain access to all paid features until the end of your current billing period. After that:

  • Your account is downgraded to read-only Maker access
  • You can view your existing formulas, batches, and data
  • You cannot create new formulas or use Pro/Business/Lab features
  • Your data is NOT deleted — you can resubscribe anytime

2.3 Cancellation Timing

Cancellation requests take effect at the end of your current billing period. For example, if you cancel on day 15 of a monthly subscription, you retain access until day 30. We do not offer partial-month refunds for early cancellation.

3. Refund Policy

3.1 Monthly Subscriptions

Monthly subscriptions are generally non-refundable. However, we may offer refunds in the following cases:

  • Technical issues: If the Service was unavailable or unusable due to our error
  • Billing errors: If you were charged incorrectly or without authorization
  • First-time subscribers: If you cancel within 7 days of your first payment

3.2 Annual Subscriptions

Annual subscriptions may be eligible for a prorated refund if you cancel within the first 30 days. After 30 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable, but you retain access for the remainder of the year.

3.3 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

  • Email billing@formuley.io with your account email and reason for the request
  • Include any relevant details (e.g., error messages, screenshots)
  • We will respond within 5 business days

3.4 Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Depending on your bank, it may take an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account.

3.5 Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds are generally NOT available for:

  • Change of mind after the first 7 days (monthly) or 30 days (annual)
  • Failure to cancel before automatic renewal
  • Accounts terminated for Terms of Service violations
  • Unused AI generations or features
  • Downgrading to a lower tier (no partial refunds)

4. Upgrading and Downgrading

4.1 Upgrading

When you upgrade to a higher tier, the change takes effect immediately. You will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing period, and your new rate applies at the next renewal.

4.2 Downgrading

When you downgrade to a lower tier, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing period. You retain access to your current tier's features until then. No partial refunds are provided for downgrading.

If your data exceeds the limits of the lower tier (e.g., more formulas than allowed), you will need to archive or delete the excess before downgrading.

5. Education Contracts

Education contracts are annual agreements with custom terms. Cancellations and refunds for education contracts are handled on a case-by-case basis according to the specific contract terms. Please contact education@formuley.io for questions about education contract cancellations.

6. Your Data After Cancellation

When you cancel your subscription:

  • Your data is retained in read-only mode for 12 months
  • You can export your data at any time during this period
  • You can resubscribe and regain full access to your data
  • After 12 months of inactivity, we may delete your data with 30 days' notice

To request immediate data deletion, email privacy@formuley.io.

7. Price Changes

We may change our prices from time to time. We will notify you at least 30 days before any price increase. If you do not agree to the new pricing, you may cancel your subscription before the price change takes effect.

Existing annual subscribers will not be affected by price changes until their next renewal.

8. Billing Disputes

If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us at billing@formuley.io within 60 days of the charge. We will investigate and resolve legitimate disputes promptly.

If you initiate a chargeback without first contacting us, we may suspend your account pending resolution.
